Mission Statement

The Idaho Safe Schools Coalition’s mission is to help Idaho schools become safe places where every family can belong, where every educator can teach, and where every child can learn, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Objectives 2013

Ensure safe schools for Idaho’s LGBYQ youth and allies through statewide program and community organizing that will develop youth leadership through training and relationship building, network high school Gay-Straight Alliances and human rights clubs, distribute safe schools resource kits, and hold community education events.  

Objectives 2012

Ensure safe schools for Idaho’s LGBYQ youth and allies through targeted youth leadership development, networking high school Gay/Straight Alliances & human rights clubs, distributing a safe schools resource kits, holding one community education event, and creating an Idaho Safe Schools Climate report to leverage Idaho policy makers.
